Fast 2026 - Day 1

Acts 3:19-21 (AMP)  So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret your past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]; and that He may send [to you] Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you, whom heaven must keep until the time for the [complete] restoration of all things about which God promised through the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.

During this 21 day journey of fasting and prayer, let us with our whole heart pursue Jesus and His good plan for our lives this year.  Jeremiah 29:13 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek Me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  I will be found by you,” declares the Lord.  This is God’s promise for all of us who set our hearts and lives in His direction, not looking back!

As we seek Him over the next 21 days, we are expecting to encounter Him up close. We are expecting that we will be changed by Him in this process!  We are expecting that as we draw near to Him, He is very close, and is going to bring into kingdom order every aspect of our lives as we yield to Him through His Word and by His Spirit!  We are expecting that as this happens, we are going to experience refreshing, renewal, and revival in our lives, families and in our church family!  So press in beloved; meet Him with all of your heart—be quick to repent and make any changes He reveals to you and let’s see what God will do!

PRAYER:
Father, we come before you now in the Name of Jesus, submitting ourselves to You and Your perfect will.  We resist the devil and any temptation that may arise over the next 21 days to quit, and instead, we set our hearts to Pursue You and to Align with Your Will and Plan for our lives this year.  We ask You, Holy Spirit, to search us, and to reveal Your heart and mind for us and to help us obey and trust You during this process.  We believe Your Word and are expecting refreshing that comes from Your Presence, and that the dry barren places in our hearts and lives are being renewed and revived as we prepare for Your coming!  Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in us, our families, and in our Hope City Church Family!  In Jesus Name, Amen!
