Joshua 1:6–9 (NKJV)
“Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous... Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go... This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night... for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success... Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
The Call to Courage
When God called Joshua to lead after Moses’ death, He spoke three times the same command: “Be strong and courageous.” Why repeat it? Because what awaited Joshua required more than strength—it demanded supernatural courage. There were giants in the land, opposition in the promise, and fear at the threshold of destiny.
In the same way, God is calling His people today to rise in strength and courage. We are living in a chaotic world, but chaos has never been able to cancel the call of God.
You Are Anointed for This Moment
God didn’t make a mistake placing you here, in this season of history. You weren’t meant for another era—you were chosen for now. When the world shakes, the Church awakens.
Throughout history, whenever crisis came, the people of God grew stronger:
Courage is Always Required for Kingdom Advancement
Every miracle in Scripture required courage:
Courage in the Face of the Storm
In Mark 4–5, Jesus invites His disciples, “Let us cross over to the other side.”
It wasn’t a command—it was an invitation.
Following Jesus often means leaving the crowd for deeper waters. The crowd loves comfort, but obedience calls you into storms. Yet those storms are not punishment—they’re preparation.
When Jesus silenced the waves, He wasn’t just calming the sea—He was strengthening their faith for what awaited them on the other side: a demonized man in desperate need of deliverance.
And just when they thought it was over, Jesus said, “Let’s go again.”
Every victory is a setup for the next level of obedience.
When Comfort Breeds Complacency
When we get too comfortable, we lose our courage. Comfort lulls us into complacency, and complacency lowers our expectations. Suddenly, instead of advancing the Kingdom, we’re just trying to survive.
But courage calls us to move beyond comfort. Like a woman in labor who endures pain to bring forth life, spiritual birth always comes through discomfort. If we can endure the pressure, we’ll see the promise.
Faith and Courage Are Connected
Hebrews 10:35–39 (NKJV)
“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise… Now the just shall live by faith.”
Faith and courage are inseparable.
Faith without action is dead, and courage is the evidence of living faith. To believe in God’s promise requires the boldness to step out and act.
No Backup Generation—This Is Our Time
We are the generation God has called for this hour. There’s no “next group” waiting to take our place. We are the ones anointed to stand, to preach, to raise our families in righteousness, and to proclaim the gospel in a dark world.
Courage isn’t optional—it’s essential. The call of Jesus remains:
“Get back in the boat. Let’s go again.”
Final Encouragement
Whatever your “other side” looks like—a relationship that needs healing, a ministry God told you to start, or a fear that’s held you captive—it’s time to move again. Someone’s freedom depends on your obedience.
Be strong. Be courageous.
You’re anointed for this hour.
And on the other side of your yes, there’s a miracle waiting.

Throughout history, whenever crisis came, the people of God grew stronger:
- Families began to pray again.
- Intercessors and prophets rediscovered their assignments.
- The Church became fueled by the Holy Spirit.
Courage is Always Required for Kingdom Advancement
Every miracle in Scripture required courage:
- Gideon said yes to God while hiding in fear.
- Peter had courage to rise again after failure.
- The Moravians carried their own coffins to the mission field, fully aware they might never return.

Prayer for Courage
Father, thank You for calling me for such a time as this. I ask You for courage when fear rises, strength when I feel weak, and boldness to stand for truth. Help me get back in the boat, to trust You again, and to cross over to the other side where destiny awaits.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
